You have correct times, my times were from LHF when I find tournament and I forgot to remove an hour to put it back to local time.

Former NT player Dieter Kalt will have his first tournament appearance as a coach, I'm pretty confident that with all his experience he can have an impact. A player to watch on the team is Innsbruck forward Mario Huber. The 16yr old stands almost 190cm tall weighing about 100kg. He has some technical deficits but at the YOG he was the only Austrian player on par with the big teams' guys. RBS players Bischofberger and Obrist have regular ice time in EBEL, those two should carry the AUT offense. Given the opposition I would be pleasanty surprised however if AUT manages even a point.

This, IMO, is the strongest year for Latvian U20 so far so it will be very interesting to see how the team is doing versus real competetive teams that are currently not in the WJC elite.

Still, the roster is missing a bunch of players that will go to Ufa, including Bļugers (NCAA), 4 CHL guys, Kļaviņš (AIK), Zuševics (Graz), Merzļikins (Lugano), Zandovskis (Gotteron) etc.

Saw the live stream with the Danish u20 against Austria. Denmark lost 2-4. IMO an even game with Denmark beeing a little bit - but certainly not much - better. Austria had the luck at the right moments.
A few notes on the Danish players: Meyer showed his great skating skills and scored two goals, Russell his psysics, Spelling was invisble (or injured I think I only saw his in the first period). Only positive surprise to me was Illemann. Good puck control and especially in the offense he showed that he could be a coming man.

Been monitoring several Austrian, Latvian and Belarusian media for hours now, so I guess I am certain when I say there's no info. :) Even the commentator of Austria-Denmark didn't mention anything about the first game.

I guess this is the best and most thorough report for Austria - Denmark currently out there:

Latvian goalie Cimermanis just tweeted that Latvia lost 2:3 overtime to Belarus.

The only better one would be the one we write ;-)

The Latvia - Belarus score was implicitly reported in the standings of the tourney when they showed a table with BLR 2 and LAT 1 point and a 3-2 resp. 2-3 goals +-. Otherwise there's silence, not even the line-ups were available online which sucks as it would be nice to be able to fully link players names to their numbers.

I agree with @Sofaw's summary of the AUT-DEN game, Denmark played basically more mature and the Danes were physically stronger. The Austrians were quite good though and used the chances they got well. Their imho biggest deficit was the many unprecise passes when releasing attacks and the tendency to squander opportunities to clear the zone when the Danes were pressuring. Key for the win was the strong goaltending by Zopf. As in the roster of 26 players only 7 are returnees from last year's U20, the rest is all newbies born 94 or later. So quite ok.

Nah, but I guess (and hope) that the scoresheets for Latvian games are going to be posted on federation's website after each of the game's - including the one against Danes.

Couldn't watch the first period but the longer the game went the less AUT could fight off the Latvians. In the end the wheels fell pretty much off and there was little left in the Austrian game that worked. Especially the first pass out of the zone didn't work at many occasions. At least the boys scored one in the end.
