Hey guys I'm working on creating a database for collecting and storing player information as a sort of Prospects watchboard. It would be done by birth year as NHL Draft and World Junior championship age limits are restrictive. As each birth year turns twenty I will rank and catalogue the prospects ( birth year 1989, 2009)This way you could have a simple year by year analysis of the development of players by nation. I'm using Armenia as a test. I have all the international stats and height weight birthdate but I would love some subjective or inside knowledge about the below Armenian players. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Born in 1989
Harutyun Baluyan
Suren Balinyan
Grikor Demerchyan
Aram Deterdaryan (Demerchyan) seen it both ways?
Artur Khachatryan
Arkadi Nalbandyan
Abram Palezhyan (Abraham Palezyan?)
Harutyun Panosyan
Gevorg Petrosyan
Arsen Sharoyan
Aram Simonyan
Karen Simonyan
Grikor Sirmabekyan

again any help would be great, thanks!

In the past, we've found a number of Armenian players in recce and high school leagues in California. Despite the fact that they were listed by the Armenian federation as playing for Armenian clubs.

That led to the IIHF suspension of Armenia from World Championship participation, as they found evidence of 20 or so ineligible players between the U20 and senior teams in 2008.

Remains to be seen what they'll be doing this year.

Yeah, Palezyan for example is playing for a junior team in the LA area. Hopefully Armenia can produce some real homegrown talent.

I think the IIHF Principle from http://www.iihf.com/fileadmin/user_upload/PDF/The_IIHF/2008-2012_IIHF_Statutes_and_Bylaws.pdf is worth noting.

"It is the objective of the IIHF that national teams competing in IIHF championships shall reflect the status and standard of the sport as currently played by citizens of and in the country concerned and to protect the integrity of international competition."
