At present I have approximate sketches of the project. Drawing almost all color uniforms. But there are problems with some countries (for example - DDR, Yugoslavia, Japan) at early stages. Draw all championships logo with 1950-2010. Problems with mascots Praha 1978, Finland 1982, Swiss 1990 (not have full, onley bear face), Finland 1992.
If this idea is interesting, support me. Someone can wishes to add the information. Write and give keep history))))))

What do you have right now? I would like to see the late 70s early 80s. When will the first one come out?
Presently I have a complete set from 1960 to 2007. But is there a question not herein, anybody wants to do such project with me???? It in general interestingly????
I am currently doing a project with two leading international hockey historians. We have the complete game summaries, lineups and stats from all international tournaments since 1910. We plan to publish a series of books on the history of the IIHF world Championships with all stats by 2010. A related project on the junior world championships is also in the pipeline.
We also plan to set up the most complete database on international players with player biographies, regular news etc. You will need a subscription to access the database, but more on this later.
So its fine with all those mini projects, but you're just wasting your time. Soon you will be able to buy the books with all the stuff you need: complete stats of the IHWCs, articles on all the world championships and biographies of around 100 of the biggest hockey players of the IHWC.
All in all some 1,500 pages. Written by the most knowlegable experts on international hockey. All you need.
Karsten,
If you do such project already, will be glad to help and purchase a book after completion of work!
For information - in Russia a similar encyclopaedia is already published in 2 volumes. For me a problem is in that now there IS not a single edition with the complete set of photo and uniforms of all combined teams on championships....
Pannini hockey sticker books from the 70s are some help for jerseys. i have a couple pages i asked from some gentleman. its like most of the 78 B Pool and C Pool. If you want it, PM me.

This sounds wonderful. I will certainly want the book or books when they are published.
I have two questions:
Who are the other two historians? If they have your level of knowledge the books are bound to be good.
Will the books cover the lower divisions of the World championships -Pools B,C and D/Divisions I, II, and III; or will they only cover the top level?
I believe they are Birger Nordmark and Patrick Houda.
Maxim,
Is there an update on the project? how is it coming?

I believe they are Birger Nordmark and Patrick Houda.
Will they be providing credits to those who have provided them with many items of information?

At present I work independently, thanks those who tried to help me (Les-VM, yardbird, davidmartinez)!
Karsten,
Any updates on the books you are publishing.I would be very interested in purchasing.

Hello Jeff!
I will be purchasing the hockey history by Karsten and the others as soon as possible too!
I have been chasing info of the IIHF tournaments by trial and error since 1996, so it's great to get such a book series!
All the best
