I have to say USA will shake off the bad start against Canada or at the very least start Jason Bacasihua over an obviously struggling (hung over) John Grahame and come out flying against the Finns.

I am going to guess 5 to 3 USA over Finland.

Again a tight gritty game. USA to just edge this one 3-2. Finland lack spark at this tournament.

I like active styly of States on this Tournament, but Finland has good mood to play in the next stage!!!

USA has played some good games but I believe Finland has the edge. 2-1 in Finland's favour.

USA can do it. Finland have not played good in this championships, Finland are this year no contender for the gold. USA are a darkhorse in this championship a youg and hungry team.

3-2 Finland. It will be a very difficult game for the Finns, but I hope they have been sparing their goals for the big games. They usually wake up when it matters.

The Americans are not ready yet with this team and the coach might be too inexperienced. The Finns are outmatched in size and in youth, but Finnish experience, European experience at this level and the turned up intensity will out due the Americans.

4-2 Suomi. Basically, same reasons a3r3z points out. Closer than the score dictates, that fourth Finnish marker will be an empty netter.

It will be a close match, with a 4-3 victory to Finland.

The strong finnish defence will be the dicisive factor, even though the young american team has shown us some good hockey.

the finnish d has been good but they have been very blan this year no game breaker or big time difference maker on this team

Itīs gonna be a tight game, The big question will be, if Grahame got over the Canada game, or if not, how Bacashihua will be able to compete. (I personally would like to see Bacashihua in goal, he played the better game after be put in the goal in the canada game).

1-0 Finland. I don't know if it's deserved as team USA has played the best game IMO. Anyway bad goaltending.

But it's a fun game to watch :)

It really was a great game to watch. I truly enjoyed seeing the youngsters from USA battle back each time. The shoot out was disappointing though. Some of these guys have been really good in shoot outs in the NHL this past season, Kessel and Parise especially.

Congrats to Finland. It was a well deserved win!

Yeah, thx, it was indeed the result of our hopes.. Anyways, it was absolutely fabulous playing by US, the best that I've seen for years in World Championships! In addition to the great tactics and team play as usual by North American teams, there were really good moving, superior puck control as well as talented and creative hockeying in overall by the team US. Like the second goal against Finns.. And furthermost, the nerve control was tight, and tough yet fair play until the very end. Such a Great Team, hope to see more of that next years too!

From Finns' viewpoint it turned out just the opposite as usual, for once, that the other team is dominating the game actions, however we hold up and win at the end. Have tasted the bitterness of the opposite way too many times.. :)

about the shootout bling didn't we lose in a shootout in the QF a few years back as well. I think this is like the 2nd or 3rd time in recent years we have been knocked out in a shootout

I dont understand why TSN chose this game not to televise...seems like it would've been a great one (yes I know about SopCast but it's not the same...)

I'm just happy when SUI99 broadcast the games on sopcast. It's much more interesting than Russian to me :)

And you get cool quotes like "Chara ist robust als ein Volvo"!

USA has talents and potential to win, it just seems like the interest in winning the WC isn't all that big over there for some reason ?... I never count on them to go any further than quarters tops each year, and im never wrong with that assumption. Yet i know they could if they put effort into it.

That was a great game!!! Haven't seen such a dramaturgy for some time, I rooted for US they played very attractive hockey (ok the finns also;-). But SO is crap, they should have longer OT (reducing it to 3 on 3...;-)
