Sorry, I see this thread just now..

Andorra currently doesn't have a team at senior level but some junior teams competing in french junior divisions. Only active team (junior level) is Andorra Hoquei Gel, playing in nice Palau de Gel de Andorra, with IIHF size rink.
From 1995 Andorra federation is IIHF member and active players are 100 (60 registered as juniors)

if thats the rink in andorra i doubt thats their top team, probably just a beginners team.

Is there any information from the 96 or 97 pool D World Championships when they hosted them? Very interested. Any pictures of the team jersey would be neat as well..

mmmh..... you're wrong. Andorra never played any official game and never hostet any Worldchampionship.

Pool D 1997 was played in Canillo(Andorra) and was won by Croatia. But there was no team Andorra, I believe Spain (who finished 3rd) was the hometeam.

Un gol d'or marcat per Joan Tosas a manca de dos minuts per acabar la prórroga permet a l'equip ceretà endur-se la primera victòria de la temporada.



El domini visitant durant el dos primers quarts (0 - 4) va determinar, i molt, el joc desplegat al tercer quart. L'equip dirigit per Javicheck es va relaxar cosa que va aprofitar perfectament l'equip Andorrà per a reduir distàncies fins a empatar el matx a les acaballes del tercer període.



Els nervis i l'emoció va ser la tónica dominant durant la prórroga. Un temps mort sol·licitat per l'entrenador Javicheck a manca de dos minuts per l'acabament va tranquil·litzar els jugadors. Poc després una escapada del davanter Juru donaria el gol de la victòria.







L'actuació arbitral va ser correcte i en tot moment el partit va desenvolupar-se sense incidents. La bona sintonía i flair play durant i després del partit amb l'equip andorrà va ser el tret més remarcable.



El jugador visitant Eduleckio (defensa de la 1a línia) es va lesionar a l'espatlla només començar el matx.



Destacar les intervencions d'ambdós porters i les nombroses oportunitats de gol que es succeïen a una i altre portaria van afavorir que es veies un bon partit d'hoquei sobre gel.

Why don't they have a national team? You could form at least one youth or senior national team out of the players they have.
