I was looking at stat for 79WC and I saw a name..Carsten-W. Petersen.

What is the W stand for?

I know this thread is more than 1½ year old by now but I really have to answer to this one.
His full name is Carsten Winther Pedersen (born 1956). He played for both Aalborg IK and AaB in his hockey career which ended in the mid-80s and was part of AaB's gold winning team in 1981.

He is, by the way, the father of Danish female handball player Lærke Møller of Aalborg DH.
