I find it rather strange that the semifinals are best of 3, yet the final and 3rd games are only one game. I know the DEL goes 7-5-5, but to have semifinal series and then deceide champions by just a single game is odd.

Although things look very good in Mongolia if they have a six team league, even if the main rink in the capital is outdoor. Also that only one team did a clean sweep of a round and each team escaped with at least one point for each round is a good sign for the league.

Does anyone know if the game is attracting young players there? It'd be great to see Mongolia start competing in the WJCs since they will start playing in the WCs.

I would go on the assumption that they are getting young players. They entered teams in the Asia/Oceanic U18 tournaments and if they are going seniors now, they should have a pipeline of prospects coming out of youth and juniors. From what I've read, their 2006 national bandy team was fairly young and since half of the roster had time in the AO U18's...
