Jan Eysselt (http://www.sting-trade.si/sport/pictures/hockey98/slo-pol/sslika2.jpg) passed away after courageously battling a strenuous illness. He turned sixty. Mr. Eysselt was the coach of the Czech Ice Hockey Team at the 2005 Winter Universiade in Innsbruck, Austria. He coached the team to the silver medal, his last memorable coaching accomplishment.
Mr. Eysselt was a former hockey great playing for top clubs such as Sparta Praha and Dukla Jihlava. After his playing career he became a successful coach working with Sparta Praha and Slavia Praha in the Czech Republic, as well as teams in Germany, Poland and Finland. He also was the coach of the Czech U20 team.
