Austria will play a test match today evening in Klagenfurt versus Slovenia. This game, the training sessions of this week and the tournament in Esbjerg are the last occasions for the players to earn a spot in the roster for the IIHF U20 tournament in Minsk/Belarus.

Of course, the guys playing in North America will not be part of the team this week. As these are all forwards I expect the defense for Minsk to consist of the guys who will be on the roster already this week.

Up to now the U20 played two games against Italy this August, the results were a 2:0 win and a 2:3 loss for Austria. I don't have any details for these games.

For the only roster I found it is somehow unclear if it is up to date or not, I'll post it anyway:

The Danish hockey federation has chosen to update its site in the middle of the international break, and at a time when Denmark host an international tournament. Nice! :stupid: They're unable to promise that the site will be available before the action this weekend.

Let's hope they will update the stats from the tournament when they go love. Otherwise, they can expect a phone call from me. :003:
